Promoting Ontario in-store
Foodland Ontario’s Retail Services program creates in-store consumer awareness of Ontario foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs and dairy. Foodland Ontario’s retail merchandising representatives call on more than 1,200 grocery stores annually throughout the province, placing point of sale materials to foster consumer recognition of Ontario foods. This, in conjunction with other Foodland Ontario promotional efforts, contributes to Ontario’s economy by ensuring consumers can easily identify and purchase Ontario-produced fresh foods in retail grocery stores.
Generating retail interest
In partnership with grower groups, Foodland Ontario delivers an annual retail awards program which encourages retailers to showcase fresh Ontario produce in their stores using prominent displays and creative promotions.
