Fresh Red Currant Sorbet

Capture the luscious taste of Ontario Fruit in this easy frozen sorbet. Taste the fruit mixture before freezing and adjust the sweetness level to suit your family's preference. With only three ingredients, this sorbet is easy to make, delicious to eat and here's a dessert bonus -- it's fat free too!

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 1 to 2 Hours
Freezing Time: 20 to 30 Minutes

Servings: About 2-2/3 cups (650 mL)
Ingredients:
  • 3-1/2 cups (875 mL) Ontario Red Currants, puréed and sieved
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) liquid honey
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) white corn syrup
Preparation:

Combine puréed fruit, honey and corn syrup; chill until very cold. Stir well and pour into ice-cream maker. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
