Heinz Vegetable Sauce adds flavour to your vegetables.

| 3 lbs (1.5 kg) |
assorted Ontario root vegetables such as Ontario
Parsnips, Ontario Rutabaga and Ontario Carrots
(4 medium carrots, 2 large parsnips and half a medium
rutabaga) |
| 1/2 cup (125 mL) |
Heinz Vegetable Sauce, Buttery Garlic &
Herb, divided |
| 1/4 cup (50 mL) |
balsamic vinegar |
| 2 tbsp (25 mL) |
honey or brown sugar |
| 1 tbsp (15 mL) |
vegetable oil |
| 1/2 tsp (2 mL) |
each salt and pepper |
| 2 tbsp (25 mL) |
chopped fresh rosemary |
Peel vegetables and chop into bite-size pieces. Stir half
the vegetable sauce with balsamic vinegar, honey, oil, salt
and pepper. Toss vegetables with sauce mixture and spread
evenly in a large, rimmed greased baking pan. Cover pan with
foil and roast in preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for
30 minutes. Remove foil and stir in rosemary. Return to oven
and roast, uncovered, for 15 to 25 minutes or until fork tender.
Stir in remaining vegetable sauce before serving.
Tip
- If using large parsnips, remove woody centre core.
